This discussion post has two parts:

1. Communication Location

Draw from the "What All of This Means for Communication" section of the Chicago Guide's chapter 8 and discuss where you mostly envision yourself as a scientific communicator (industry, academia, government, or research institutes/foundations/NGOs).

 

2. Paper Structure

IMRaD is a formal structure; Schimel's OCAR is a narrative structure (and he shows how they can map to each other). Which do you find more useful for thinking about how to assemble your research paper and why?
